Cancer Can Suck It

+Marc Spagnuolo does many generous and great things for the woodworking community. As much as I like the Wood Whisperer Guild, Wood Talk and the Wood Whisperer site itself, the most important thing Marc has done is Woodworkers fighting cancer.

Inspired by Duane, Marc has taken up the flag of fighting cancer and now manages the Woodworkers Fighting Cancer (WFC) cause. Beyond accpeting donations for CancerCare.org all year round, WFC sponsors a build each year. This year the build is a Young Artists Easel.

Who wouldnt want to build this for charity?

The folks at +WOOD Magazine and +Bell Forest Products, Inc. are helping out with free plans and a good deal on the lumber.

If you build the easel by the end of November, Marc and many sponsors will donate $5 each to CancerCare.

If, like me, the thought of staring and finishing another project by the end of November is laughable, then do like I did and donate directly. As the father of a cancer survivor, I know how important a cause this is. We need to help.
