Australia updates
Bob Wiseman from Ulverstone, Tasmania just completed his first box, all made with Aussie wood! It consists of Huon Pine mitred sides, with a Blackwood veneered lid and River Red Gum keys and removable divider. Beautiful wood. Nice work Bob!

Now, Paul Homes in Perth, Western Australia tells me it is not a very comfortable time to be working in the shop. Check out these temps. (38 C is the same as 100 F.) Yep, there are guys in Minnesota right now having the same problem with their shops being too uncomfortable to work in!

Updates and New Rockler Store in Maplewood
Hi Everyone,
Well, I survived having my wisdom tooth removed. I should back up a little: Ive been struggling with an infected wisdom tooth for the past several months and after considerable pain and filling sick all the time, I had the tooth out on Monday. So far Im doing really well and Ill probably get back to the shop next week.
The blog has gone over 19,000 views worldwide! Woo Hoo! Thanks to everyone for dropping by and reading my posts.
In the mean time, for those of you in Minnesota, there is a new Rockler shop in Maplewood. It looks like a really big one too. Heres a link to their website: http://www.rockler.com/retail/maplewood-minnesota-hardware-store.cfm
Im going put my feet up and watch a movie. See you next week.

Updates
Ok, I have found that I need to keep a portion of my old webpage just for photos and Clash of the Titans stuff. I have put links to that stuff and upgraded the site. BUT: I need to work on the photos page - seems that Fireworks has scrambled the sequence of photos, but enjoy them anyway!
I decided to develope this blog site because it seems so much easier to edit than doing a full website, and alot quicker too.
Also, visitors can post their comments to my posts! I think that will help, especially when we need updates on Dad, family stuff, etc. - so we can all have fun with this!!!
MOM-- if you are reading this, try and post a comment and see what happens...

Guest Bedroom Updates
My parents came to visit so I thought this would be the perfect time share a few updates to the guest room ... sorry for jumping to the office before finishing the guest room, I was itching to have some more organization to make the office more functional!
Still more to do in the guest room, but here are some updates!

a small starburst mirror above the bed (from Target)...

an owl bookend from World Market ($10) and a round frame from TJ Maxx ($7)

a throw from Pottery Barn and a ruched coverlet from Target
I still have to finish a second dresser, swap the overhead light, hang the rest of the art, and DIY a rug next to the bed, but it is coming along!
